Pattern of the wood grain, audio resonance and weight are the primary factors used to determine the various grades of a Kiso-Hinoki blade. The Standard Grade is our medium tier grade; around 20-35% of Hinoki blades falling under this category. You'll be admiring each blade like a piece of artwork. They give you the utmost consistency when hitting the ball, explosive power during the contact, and a great overall feel during the match. The Hinoki blades all use the same type of wood; the grade is only determined after the blade is cut. Ariex examines the grain of each blade to determine which category the wood falls under. The Kiso Hinoki trees sourced vary between 250 to 350 years old, and can go up to around 400 years old. The age of the tree directly contributes to the grain of the racket, and Ariex Hinoki rackets have consistently tighter wooden grain compared to similar rackets.
